Have you lost your ‘First Love’? Do you need rekindling?
We can all remember the sweet days of our first encounter with Christ and the delight of ‘First Love’ that brought us great joy and freedom. Sadly, over the years the fire of this love tends to grow dim and affections for God grow colder, when we do not depend on Him for our daily needs.
In Revelation 2:1-7, John the Apostle wrote to the Ephesians who were known for their zeal, faithfulness and toil. However, over time, they had abandoned their first love and Jesus had to admonish them with the words “Remember then from what you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first.” (Revelations 2: 5)
If you too are in a similar place and can sense God nudging you to return to a simple yet passionate love for Him, this study is for you. You can also use it for small group discussions.
This Bible Study includes reflections on the passage and questions for deeper thinking, to help you remember the sweetness of your salvation experience, recognize your need for change, and rekindle your passion to return to your ‘First Love’.
