The word “Seal” is translated from the Greek word “Shragizo” which means “To impress upon with a mark”. A seal is commonly used to guarantee the authenticity of a document or a letter, or to indicate ownership, or protect against tampering.
The Holy Spirit is our seal in every essence of this word, as he adopts us into the family of God, and gives us an identity as a son and as a daughter of God.
